Dr. Loniewski is specialized in treating arthritis of the hip and knee. Additionally, he also treats patients with problems in the ankle, elbow, shoulder, and foot. He is very active in advancing the area of regenerative medicine and keeps himself up-to-date on the latest advances in medicine that could benefit his patients. He routinely performs bone marrow intra-articular injections for patients with knee OA which has helped several of his patients. However, he noted that few of his patient was “superstar responders” and he did not understand why. Later he observed that patients that had their spleen removed due to an accident/illness, responded dramatically better to intra-articular bone marrow injections. He then heard about spleen research from AVM Biotechnology and instantly knew it would be a success since he had a direct experience with his patients.
